(Foster Found) Valor P.

Meet Valor! This well-mannered and loving 9-year-old shepherd is looking for a foster home while his owner is on assignment and their spouse manages health challenges and a newborn. Valor needs a foster now through September 3, 2026. He is currently located in Bogart, GA, and transportation can be arranged within a 3-hour radius.

Why Foster Valor?

Valor is a devoted, intelligent, and well-behaved companion who thrives in a loving home. He is house, leash, and crate trained (though he hasn’t been crated in years). He walks well on a leash, though he may pull slightly when excited, but is easily corrected.

Valor’s Personality & Behavior

• Great with people, children, and other animals! He has lived with a baby, cats, and other dogs. While he has never lived with toddlers, he does well with older children.
• Social and friendly – He eagerly greets new people and dogs on walks. At the dog park, he loves playing chase and engaging in fun, active play.
• Loyal companion – He loves to be by your side, will follow you around, and enjoys cuddling on the couch.
• Playful and active – Valor loves to fetch, play tug, and is especially passionate about frisbee and water fetch during the summer!
• Well-trained and obedient – Valor knows an impressive list of commands, including Sit, Stay, Down, Fetch, Heel (left/right), Walk (next to you), Brace, and even “Hand” (where he picks up and hands you his toy).

While Valor is generally non-destructive and easygoing, he does have mild herding tendencies and may playfully nip at collars when running around with other dogs. He gets along with most dogs but will defend himself if an alpha dog becomes aggressive toward him.
