Tonka is a gentle, affectionate pup who adores people and is looking for a temporary foster home while her owner is deployed. Located in Seattle, WA Tonka can travel 2hrs from Seattle, WA for a foster. She’s been a cherished companion since she was just 8 weeks old and now needs a cozy place to lounge until her family can be reunited.

Why You’ll Love Fostering Tonka:

✔️ People-Loving Sweetheart – She adores everyone she meets and will happily wiggle up to say hello (and maybe even sneak in a knee-lick—her signature move!).
✔️ Low-Energy & Chill – Tonka’s favorite pastime? Lounging on the couch and soaking up belly rubs. She enjoys walks and hikes but is happiest snuggled up next to her humans.
✔️ Well-Mannered Companion – She’s housebroken, leash-trained, and knows all her basic commands. She loves bath time and even hops right into the tub!
✔️ A Water Enthusiast – If there’s a body of water nearby, she’ll try to take a dip!

What Tonka Needs in a Foster Home:

A pet-free or dog-savvy home – She’s best as the only pup but can co-exist with dog-friendly cats.
A home that understands her food motivation – She loves treats and will do anything for a snack (just keep an eye on her during walks so she doesn’t dive for goodies on the ground!).
Someone to give her love & stability – She’s been temporarily staying with a kind family, but their resident cat isn’t a fan of Tonka, so she needs a new foster ASAP.

Her owner is exploring costly last-resort options (boarding or transporting her across the country), but we want to keep Tonka in a loving home nearby. You can help by opening your home to this lovable potato!
