Meet Nika, a senior Shepherd/Husky mix who needs a foster home while her owner is deployed from March 10, 2025- Oct. 1, 2025. The owner can transport within a 6-hour radius of San Diego, CA.

Nika is a friendly low-maintenance, 12-year-old shepherd/husky mix, that is good with people, children of all ages, cats, and most dogs. Nika has lived with children of all ages, cats and other dogs. Nika has also lived on a ranch and is good with farm animals, including horses. Nika is good with dogs her size or larger but doesn’t like hyper-smaller dogs.

Nika enjoys going for walks, and playtime in the yard, but prefers to do her business on walks. Nika enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and being outdoors.

At home, Nika is chill and low maintenance. Spending her time chewing on her kong or sunbathing in the yard.  This old lady still has some spunk and still enjoys playing tug-of-war or with a soft toy.
