Moxie and Truman are a lovable, bonded pair looking for a caring foster home while their owner, a disabled veteran medevacked for a lung transplant, focuses on recovery. They are currently staying with a temporary foster in Redmond, WA, who is willing to transport them within a 4-hour radius.

Why You’ll Love Fostering Moxie & Truman

These two well-behaved pups are house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. They are social, friendly, and great with people, children, and other dogs! While they don’t need to be crated, they prefer to be together if crated and have no destructive tendencies.

Moxie, a 5-year-old mutt, is a joyful and playful companion. She loves belly rubs, cuddles, and napping in the sun but also enjoys walks, playing soccer, and romping around at the dog park. She’s energetic and may pull on the leash when excited but is always eager to meet new people and dogs.

Truman, a 2-year-old toy fox terrier, is the ultimate snuggle bug. He loves to be held, carried, and involved in whatever is happening around him. Truman is intuitive and protective—he even saved his owner’s life by alerting the family when the owner’s O2 levels dropped. He’s a sweet and affectionate pup who loves car rides, hanging out at soccer games, and being the center of attention. While he does great with older children, Truman needs his space from toddlers.

Important Details

• Both dogs love walks, dog parks, and meeting new friends.
• Moxie gets car sick, so she only travels short distances on foot, while Truman is a great travel companion.
• Truman may need a little extra care adjusting to a new home, and the owner will provide belly bands to help during the transition.
• These two are inseparable! They love to play and nap together, so the owner hopes they can stay in the same foster home.

The owner would prefer to keep them together because they are very bonded and can always be found playing together or napping.
