Meet Mina a loving 3-year-old Cattle dog mix who needs a foster while the owner is deployed Oct. 23, 2024- Aug. 1, 2025. The owner can transport within approximately 6 hours of Charlotte, NC.

Mina is a 3-year-old, 55-pound Cattle dog mix, who is house, crate, and semi-leash trained.  Mina has a crate and enjoys hanging out with the door open. She does not need the door shut and has no destructive tendencies. Mina is good with people, children, and dogs her size or larger. Mina is good with children but has minimal experience with young children. Mina has a high prey drive so caution should be taken around small critters including cats and small dogs.  On walks, Mina is used to running a mile or 2 with her owner with occasional sniff breaks. She does pull when trying to walk her because she would rather be running. Mina is eager to say hello to people and large dogs, but caution should be taken around small dogs.  Mina has done well at dog parks and doggy daycare but only with larger dogs or dogs her size. Mina is fearful of older men, and older men with canes, she will coware and hide.

Mina is sweet loves people, and loves giving and getting attention. Mina always wants to be by your side and will follow you around, and enjoys being by your side on the sofa or wherever you are. During the day Mina enjoys sleeping upside down on the sofa waiting for you to return. Once you return she will bounce up, carrying her emotional support Lamb Chop toy, and meet you at the door.

At home, Mina also enjoys being outside sunbathing in the backyard and watching birds or playing fetch, though she may not always bring the ball back. Mina rarely barks and can be quiet, but a silly goofball who enjoys playing or chewing on her bones and bully sticks.

Mina would do well in an active home that has time to walk or run with her and keep her active and loved.
