Foster Kona – Give This Sweet Husky a Loving Temporary Home!

Meet Kona, a beautiful female Husky currently located in Las Vegas, NV. Her owner is currently deployed, and she is staying with a caregiver who can only watch her until the end of the month. She urgently needs a foster home, or she will be left without a safe place to stay. The owner is willing to pay for transportation within a 6-hour radius to ensure she finds a loving temporary home. Fostering is an incredible way to make a difference in a pet’s life while providing them with a safe and loving environment. Foster home needed now until Aug. 20, 2025.

Kona is a medium-energy dog who enjoys playtime but also loves to relax. She is house, crate, and semi-leash trained, though she does pull hard on a leash. She is leash aggressive, and other dogs should be avoided when she is on a leash. She loves human companionship and does well with older teens but has no experience with young children. Kona prefers male dogs and should not be placed in a home with small dogs or cats due to her high prey drive. She has lived with other dogs before and has done well, but only if they are male. She is incredibly loyal and affectionate, enjoying cuddles, playing fetch, and being by your side. As a typical Husky, she is vocal, talking when she wants attention and howling along with sirens.

Kona loves going for walks and exploring new places. She enjoys playing tag and fetch, splashing in the kitty pool, and cuddling up close to her humans. She has been to the dog park and can get along with other dogs under supervision and redirection. While she loves playing chase with other dogs, she does best when she is the one doing the chasing.

Kona needs a structured home with a patient foster who can manage her leash reactivity and help her feel secure.
