Meet Ghost O’, a sweet and playful dog in need of a foster home while his owner is deployed from November 7, 2024, to August 31, 2025. Ghost’s owner can arrange transportation along the East Coast, covering locations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, or New Jersey. Currently, Ghost is staying with a temporary foster in Largo, Florida.

Ghost is a loving, gentle dog who’s great with people, older children, and other dogs. Due to past rapid transitions, he has developed anxiety and cannot be crated. He’s skittish around young children and untested with cats. Ghost is house- and leash-trained, though he may pull a bit but responds well to commands. He’s currently taking two medications and undergoing training. For his comfort, he should be given medication two hours before being left alone, allowing him to stay calm for up to 10 hours.

Ghost is a true “Velcro dog,” following his human everywhere just to be near them. He enjoys playtime with other dogs, loves walks, and thrives at pet sitters and doggy daycare, where he starts off shy but quickly warms up. While he sometimes cuddles, he mostly loves sitting beside you and receiving pets. Ghost also enjoys tug-of-war and catch (fetch is a work in progress!).

Ghost would thrive with someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves—whether it’s daily walks, play sessions, or a canine friend to keep him company.
