Military “Challenge Coins” are a tradition dating back to at least the Vietnam War, and perhaps even World War One.  While origin stories vary, by the 1980’s it became a tradition for military organizations to have distinctive coins that represented their unit’s history and mission. Those coins would normally be given out by Commanders in recognition of exemplary service.  Because PACT is so deeply involved with providing services to our US Military Personnel and Veterans, we have developed this coin representing our mission.
