Wyle Needs a Foster—Now Through Jan 1, 2026! Can You Help?
Meet Wyle, a sweet and easy-going 5-year-old Heeler/Shepherd mix who is looking for a foster home while his owner is deployed. Wyle is currently in an apartment by himself with just a sitter visiting twice a day, but he’s in urgent need of a more stable, loving environment before his current situation becomes more stressful. Wyle’s foster home needs to be secured as soon as possible, and his foster commitment would run until January 1, 2026. Located in Inwood, WV owner is willing to transport.
Wyle is a charming, low-maintenance guy who loves the simple things in life—belly rubs, sunbathing in the yard, and hanging out with his favorite humans. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter, so he’s had his fair share of challenges, but he’s a resilient and loving dog who is now looking for a safe place to spend time while his owner is away serving our country.
Wyle is house, leash, and crate trained, which means he’s already mastered the basics and is ready to fit into your home without any major adjustments. He loves people, especially adults and teens, and is content to curl up on the couch or go for a leisurely walk or run. If you’re looking for a dog who can be both a couch potato and an adventure buddy, Wyle’s your guy. He’s also a squeaky toy enthusiast—nothing makes him happier than a fun, soft squeaky toy to play with!
Wyle would thrive in a calm and quiet home as a solo pet. While he can get along with dogs his size (with slow introductions), he’s best suited for a household without young children. He’ll be a loyal companion who just wants a comfy spot on the couch and plenty of belly rubs. If you’ve got a soft spot for easygoing dogs who know the ropes, Wyle will make a wonderful addition to your home.
Wyle has already been saved once—now it’s time for someone else to step up and be his hero again. His owner is doing important work for our country, and Wyle deserves to be in a safe, loving home while waiting for his owner’s return. A kennel is not the place for him, and he needs your help to make sure he’s surrounded by love during this time.
