Meet Saint: The Sweet, Playful Pup Who Needs You!
Meet Saint, a lovable 1-year-old American Pitbull in search of a caring foster home while his owners are deployed from March 20, 2025, to September 16, 2025. Saint’s devoted family is currently serving in the military, and he’s looking for a temporary home within 6 hours of San Diego, CA. This big-hearted boy would love to find a foster who can give him the attention, playtime, and cuddles he craves while his owners are away.
Saint is the perfect blend of playful energy and loving sweetness. He’s a happy, well-behaved pup with a calm, gentle temperament—though he’s naturally timid, he’s not shy when it comes to meeting new people. He’s friendly, affectionate, and always eager to make new friends, whether human or canine. Saint is both house and crate trained, and while he’s still learning the ropes of leash training, he walks well and listens attentively to his handler. He’s obedient, and his K-9 handler owner has worked hard to teach him to listen and follow commands—making him a well-behaved companion.
One of Saint’s favorite things to do is head to the dog park, where he loves running around and playing with other dogs. His social and sweet nature shines through when he’s interacting with his furry friends, and while he’s a bit timid around larger dogs, he’s always submissive and friendly. Saint is a true lover of outdoor play, and you’ll often find him zooming around, enjoying the fresh air, or simply basking in the sun after a fun play session.
Saint is also a cuddle enthusiast and loves snuggling up on the couch with his people after an active day. He enjoys his squeaky toys and strong chewy treats, and though he’s a playful boy, he’s equally content with some quiet time spent napping or cuddling. His affectionate and gentle nature makes him a fantastic companion for both adults and children.
Saint and Children: While Saint hasn’t lived with children, he has spent significant time around them and has shown nothing but kindness and affection. He’s always been gentle and loving with kids of various ages, though he has minimal experience with toddlers. His interactions with younger children have gone well, and he’s shown patience and calmness in their presence. Saint’s easygoing nature makes him an excellent companion for families with kids, especially those who can provide him with a calm and loving environment.
He’s also had some exposure to cats and, after a brief moment of curiosity, simply ignores them, focusing more on the love and attention he’s receiving from his humans.
Saint’s owners, one of whom is a K-9 handler for the Navy, have put in the time and effort to ensure he’s well-trained and well-behaved. With his calm demeanor, good manners, and loving personality, Saint will make a wonderful companion for anyone who can give him the care and affection he deserves during his owners’ deployment.
