Breed/Type: Parakeets
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
What’s better than one feathered friend? Two! Currently living in the Fayetteville, North Carolina, Pocket and Caper are looking for a landing pad while their owners are deployed overseas with the Army from September 15th, 2023 until June 30th, 2024.
This dynamic duo will make your days fun and energetic with daily chatter and their entertaining antics! They enjoy waking up to the sun in the morning and love playing and chirping along with anyone and everything throughout the day. Pocket is a social butterfly and enjoys trilling and chirping, while Caper is a bit timid and reserved around new people but will warm up in time. If allowed, Pocket will fly like a boomerang out of the cage and back again and can even walk onto your finger if you hold it out for her. Caper is a little shy and may need a bit more practice if you’re willing to help her learn.
Both birds LOVE broccoli and occasionally eat oranges and apples. At the end of the day, when the lights go out, these two will settle down and sleep peacefully until the blinds are opened again at the start of the next day. This perky pair will definitely make your home feel livelier!
The owner would prefer a home without cats but is comfortable with children and dogs. They are willing to travel up to 4 hours and will provide a large and small cage depending on foster preference. Possibility of only needing a foster from December 1st until June 30th (pending update).
