🐾 Meet Obi – A Big Dog with an Even Bigger Heart 🐾

Obi is a 4-year-old, 85-pound brindle Boxer-Bull mix with a heart of gold and a personality you won’t forget. This sweet, energetic pup is looking for a dedicated foster home while his owner is away. He’s currently located in Savannah, GA, and transportation is available within a 6-hour radius (with some flexibility). If you’re an experienced dog lover ready to offer structure, consistency, and plenty of love—Obi might just be your perfect match!

🧔 Loyal, Affectionate, and Full of Personality

Obi is all about his people. He loves being involved in everything you do and shows affection through tail wags, loyalty, and sometimes enthusiastic licks! He prefers to be by your side and will happily lie next to you for pets—but he’s not overly clingy. Once he’s had enough attention, he’s content to nap on the floor nearby. He can be anxious around new people and places but settles quickly once he’s familiar and looks to his trusted person for cues.

šŸŽ¾ Playful, Smart & Ready to Learn

Obi thrives with structure and clear rules. He’s highly food-motivated, crate trained, and housebroken. He knows how to walk beautifully on a leash with a prong collar and responds well to a quick correction or ā€œNo.ā€ He’s also shock-collar trained and understands boundaries when they’re consistently reinforced. Obi loves games like keep-away, roughhousing, and walks. He’s medium energy overall—happy to play as long as you will but also ready to relax when the fun is over.

🚫 A Few Quirks to Know

Obi is not a fit for homes with small dogs, cats, or young children (he’s a big guy and may accidentally knock over little ones). He may be okay with female dogs, but he’s not a fan of dominant males and needs careful introductions. He responds well to a structured process for meeting new people—especially men—and once he’s familiar, he’s a big softie.

He’s also a bit of a counter-surfer and toy destroyer—so Tuff toys and putting food out of reach are musts! But he’s not aggressive or destructive otherwise.

āœ… Obi’s Ideal Foster Home

Obi would do best in a calm, experienced home with structure and routine. He’ll need a foster who can provide regular walks, play, and patient introductions to new experiences. A fenced yard would be a bonus, as Obi enjoys time outside and has great recall within secure areas.

This big-hearted boy is looking for someone to step up and help him through this transition while his person is away. He may need a little time to adjust, but once he bonds, Obi is all in.

If you’re ready to make a life-changing difference for Obi, we’d love to hear from you!
