Nugget, the affectionate golden retriever, needs a temporary place to call home from December 21, 2023 until October 1, 2024 while his owner completes training with the National Guard. Nugget lives in Front Royal, VA and can be transported up to 6 hours or within Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC for the right home.

Nugget is the dog that anyone and everyone loves to have around! A devoted companion, Nugget enjoys the company of his human friends and will follow up wherever you go. He enjoys playing with his toys and is always excited to meet new people during his walks! Nugget gets along well with just about every dog and is no stranger to cats. He understands sit, down, roll, left hand, and right hand, and can’t wait to be your new best bud!

The ideal home for Nugget would be one that is ready to give Nugget tons of affection and attention! He gets along well with people of all ages! Nugget would do well in a home where he can socialize with other fur friends! He also enjoys walks and wouldn’t mind a couple of trips to the dog park every now and then. Nugget is comfortable living in an apartment or a home with or without a fence. He is leash and crate-trained but does not need to be crated.
