( Foster Found) Nakoma

Excellent opportunity to foster this loving, sweet dog for one of our Military heroes.

Nakoma’s owner is heartbroken she can’t take her fur baby with her,  but the housing situation is restricted.  The owner has arranged transport within an 8-hour radius of  Gonzales, LA, which includes areas in Al, AR, TX, TN, MS, FL, and is willing to accept other assistance with transport to secure a safe and loving foster home.

Nakoma is a sweet loving 5 years old boxer mix who thinks she is still a tiny lap dog. Nakoma enjoys walking and meeting new people and doggy friends along the way. Nakoma is very social and always willing to give kisses to all. Nakoma loves stretching out in the sun, playing fetch, and tug-a-war with her toys.

At home, Nakoma is chill and relaxed, she isn’t crate trained, but she doesn’t need to be because she has no destructive tendencies. Baby gates can be used to restrict her to an area, she will not knock them over or try and jump them. Nakoma is allowed on specific furniture and is easily trained on which ones are “hers”.  She will sleep on her dog bed or “her” chair at night.

Nakoma gets along well with people and older children, but she has not had any experience with toddlers or cats. Nakoma gets along great with other dogs but does not like being rushed at by hyper excitable dogs.
