Meet Morpheus!! A sweet loving, high-energy Australian Kelpie Mix that needs a foster from May 15, 2024- May 31, 2025 while the owner is deployed overseas. The owner can transport within a 4-hour radius of Norfolk, VA.

Morpheus is a loving pet that gets along with people, children, and most dogs and is playful with cats. Morpheus loves going for walks, to the dog park, days care, and playing fetch. While Morpheus gets along with most dogs, he does not like German Shepherds or being rushed. The owner said he does seem to do better with medium and smaller dogs, and at the day care they put him with the smaller dogs.

Morpheus’s favorite activities are running, playing on the beach, and swimming. Morpheus is a super cuddler and loves to snuggle up on the sofa with you. The owner states that Morpheus will sit there and start at you until you permit him to jump up, and then he will be all loved and kissed. He even enjoys being picked and loved. At night he will either sleep with the owner or at the foot of the bed.

Morpheus is house, leash and crate trained, but he does pull a bit because he is excited to go.  He usually does well meeting people and dogs along the way unless he feels threatened. He also does not like German shepherds or people in dark clothing/hoodies or smells like alcohol.

Even though Morpheus gets along with most dogs, and meet and greets are not possible at this time, the owner would prefer a household without other pets.
