Meet Lupa! This lovable 4-year-old Catahoula is looking for a warm, caring foster home while her owner is away in training with the U.S. Air Force. Lupa is currently being kenneled in Kansas City, MO, and her owner is hoping for some kind-hearted help with transportation to her foster home. She needs a foster starting now through October 15, 2025—can you be the hero Lupa’s looking for?

🐶 A Loyal Girl Who’s Already Been Through So Much

Lupa has already faced heartbreak—her first owner passed away, and now her current owner wants to make sure she’s safe and loved until they can be reunited. She’s house and leash trained, and while she’s never been crated, her owner thinks she’d adjust just fine if needed.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great With People, Dogs, and Cats

Lupa is a sweetheart who gets along well with people of all ages, especially adults and older kids. She’s been around other dogs and does great with them—though she prefers slow introductions and tends to be a little shy at first. She’s also lived with cats and even been friends with them! While she hasn’t spent time with very young children, she’s never shown anything but gentle and affectionate behavior.

🐕 Loves Walks, Playtime & Quiet Time Too

Lupa enjoys going for walks, visiting the dog park, and romping around in the yard. She’s well-behaved on a leash and loves meeting new people and other pups along the way. But when it’s time to relax, she’s a total couch potato who’s happy just being near her humans. She’s the kind of dog who follows you from room to room, always wanting to be close.

🎾 Toys, Squeaks, and Cuddles Galore

Lupa has no aggressive or destructive tendencies—unless you count the enthusiastic destruction of squeaky toys (which she loves). She’s a quiet, well-mannered companion who rarely barks and would much rather curl up next to you than get into any trouble. She’s a total lap dog, full of love, cuddles, and loyalty.
