Kenai L.

Meet Kenai (pronounced Key nigh). Kenai is a happy-go-lucky full of energy 2-year-old Aussie who is looking for a foster while his owner is attending military training from April 26, 2024 – Dec. 27, 2024. The owner can transport within a 4 hour radius of Augusta, KS.

Kenai is a friendly social pup, that enjoys walks, runs, and hiking with his owner. Kenai is house, leash, and crate trained and needs to be crated when left unattended and at night. Kenia does well on a leash and may pull a little but is easily corrected, and he is always eager and friendly to meet new people and other dogs along the way.  Kenai is house-trained but may do an excitement or nervous pee when over stimulated. The social boy loves playing with children of all ages and other dogs. However, he doesn’t always realize his size, so care should be taken when playing around smaller children and dogs. No aggressive tendencies. Does have a high prey drive to chase small critters, such as rabbits, squirrels and cats.

When is high energy, until he is not. At home, he tends to lay around, but when he wants to play he will talk to you and try and get you to rough house and play. Kenai is a velcro dog and will follow you everywhere, and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs and scratches.
