Meet Kai!! Kai is a sweet senior Husky who needs a place to crash while his owner is deployed Now – April 10, 2025. The owner can transport within a 5-hour radius of Killeen, TX.

Rescued as a stray Kai is a 7-year-old husky who enjoys walking and being outside as long as it isn’t too hot out.  Kai is house and leash-trained. Though he has no destructive tendencies, the owner normally gates him into a laundry room when they go out.  Kai is good with people, children of all ages, and cats. Kai is an alpha and feels threatened by larger aggressive dogs, but can be good with smaller submissive dogs. On walks, Kai is friendly and happy, as long as other dogs approaching our submissive and friendly.

Kai, loves playing in the backyard and enjoys a good game of fetch.  In the home, Kai is mellow and enjoys cuddling up with his owner for snuggles and attention. On hot days, Kai loves lying on the cool tile, chewing on bones, and napping.  In typical Husky fashion, Kai will tell you when he wants out or is in need of a little extra attention.

The preferred foster would be a household that can give Kai the love and attention he needs, and the owner would prefer no other dogs in the home.
