Hemi is looking for a temporary fetch partner while her owner is deployed with the US Navy from October 8, 2023 until March 15, 2024. They live in Santee, California, and are willing to transport just about any distance for the right home.

If Hemi is barking, that means she’s excited to see you! At 65 pounds, she may be one of the biggest lap dogs you’ve ever met! At the end of each day, this cuddle bug will make you feel cozy and comfortable just in time for some shut-eye. Hemi loves a good game of fetch! When she catches the ball, she’ll do victory laps around the yard. Hemi is playful with other dogs but please take caution around cats! She’s a smart and sensible pup who will “boop” your elbow when she needs something rather than whining. She also understands sit, stay, come, shake, lay, down, and can even do a spin!

The owner describes the perfect home for Hemi as a foster, preferably a couple with no children, who is willing to go on walks and runs. Hemi would do her best in a home with a large, fenced yard. She also has experience living with other dogs and has good recall. Hemi may pull heavy on the leash so she would need someone strong to hold on to her during walks.
