Elmo H.

Meet Elmo, a big, lovable, goofy pup who needs a foster from June 1, 2024- Aug. 1, 2025, while his owner is deployed.  The owner can transport within a 10-hour radius of North Charleston, SC  and along the East Coast.

Elmo is super friendly and loves going to the dog park and playing with all the other dogs—submissive tendencies and tolerant of others. Elmo also enjoys walking and is very well-behaved on a leash. He is usually very calm and ignores others approaching him unless he knows them and wants to say hi, then he might pull slightly.

This extremely goofy boy has a pleasant demeanor and gets along with all. He was raised with cats and will try to get them to play.  Elmo enjoys being in the yard, lying in the sun, staring into space, and daydreaming of playing. Elmo is good with children of all ages and very tolerant of young children, and when tired, he will just walk away.

The big boy loves to cuddle and get love.  At night, he will sleep on the floor in the bedroom or occasionally in the bed, but due to his size is generally on the floor.

Elmo still has some puppy tendencies with mouthing and chewing on random things like notebooks, cans, paper, and the occasional sock, but does well when corrected. Elmo is in a training program, and the owner has already prepaid for 2 more years. If the foster is near one of the training facilities, they are more than welcome to take Elmo, but they are not required to.
