Foster Bidi – A Loving, Low-Maintenance Senior Husky!

Meet Bidi, a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing 9-year-old female Husky looking for a caring foster home while her owner is deployed from March 9, 2025, to September 30, 2025. Bidi is currently located in Mount Vernon, WA, and her owner is willing to transport her within a 4-hour radius to ensure she finds a warm and loving temporary home.

Bidi is the definition of a perfect house guest—she is fully house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, although she hasn’t needed a crate in years. She can be left alone for up to 8 hours without any trouble—no destructive behaviors, no excessive barking, and no accidents. She is a gentle, well-mannered senior pup who just wants a comfortable place to call home for a little while.

Bidi is a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and is friendly with children, dogs, and even cats! In fact, she has lived with cats before, and one of them was her best friend. She’s never lived full-time with children, but she has plenty of experience around kids of all ages and has always been gentle and affectionate.

With other dogs, Bidi is generally friendly, though she can be a little defensive on a leash when passing by other dogs. For this reason, her owner usually avoids other dogs on walks, but she has gone to dog parks where she does just fine. She tends to either keep to herself or join in on the fun, depending on her mood.

Bidi’s Personality – Laid-Back, Loving, and a Little Chatty!

Bidi (yes, like “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” 🎶) is a typical Husky—a mix of independent, affectionate, and vocal! She loves being around her people and enjoys snuggling up whenever she can. At night, she prefers sleeping next to her person rather than being alone.

She’s also very well-behaved and food-motivated—she isn’t food-aggressive and grazes throughout the day, so no strict feeding schedule is necessary. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance pup, Bidi is as easy as they come!

Playful but Relaxed – The Best of Both Worlds!

While Bidi can lounge around for hours, she also gets bursts of excitement when it’s time to go outside. She loves her walks, and though she may pull at first out of excitement, she settles down after a bit. When outside, she prefers having company—sometimes, you may even need to go outside with her to encourage her to play and explore.

Bidi absolutely adores her toys—she’s had the same four favorite ones for years and will happily engage in a game of tug-of-war with her humans. She’s also a sunbather, enjoying warm days stretched out in the yard, just soaking up the sunshine.

Oh, and she talks! Bidi will whine or “chat” with you when she wants attention or needs to go out. She’s never been aggressive toward people and is just an all-around sweet, loving, and well-mannered companion.
