Meet Atlas!! A big teddy bear needs a short-term foster while his owner is at training for 8 weeks. Feb. 10, 2024- April 16, 2024. The owner can transport within a 6-hour radius of Killeen, TX, or in between Killeen TX, and South Carolina.

Atlas loves people and children and is a big, gentle teddy bear. Atlas loves going for walks, hikes, being outdoors and swimming. The owner states he is very gentle with children of all ages. At home, Atlas is chill velcro dog and is very attached to his owner and has mild separation anxiety when you first leave and may bark. Atlas normally sleeps on his bed and will play with his toys, and he enjoys his rope and puzzle toys the most.  Atlas love attention and all people.

Atlas is house and semi-leash-trained but not crate-trained.  Atlas does not need to be crated and has no destructive tendencies. Atlas is good on a leash with a prong collar; otherwise, he will pull.  Atlas has recently become fearful, reactive, and aggressive with other dogs, and they should be avoided, and he is unsafe with cats.

The preferred foster should have no other pets in the home, and be able to handle a larger dog breed when walking or have a backyard.
