Amelia & Atticus L.

Does anyone have room for these big babies while the owner is deployed? Amelia and Atticus are two socially well-behaved Great Danes that need a foster home Jan. 3, 2025- March 13, 2025.  The owner is willing to transport them to secure a safe and secure foster for her best companions while she is deployed.

Amelia and Atticus are well-behaved,  have a great social temperament, and would be a great addition to any home. Both are good with people, children of all ages, and dogs. They are good with toddlers but have minimal experience living with them daily. Amelia is untested with cats, and Atticus lived with cats when he was younger and did well with them.  They are both house, leash and crate-trained, but they do not have to be crated and have no destructive behaviors.

Amelia is a sweet playful goofy 5-year-old pup, who enjoys going for walks, and to the dog park. Amelia does well on lead and is always excited and happy to meet other people and pets. At the dog park she loves to say hi to everyone and play chase with the other dogs.  Amelia thinks she is a lap dog and wants to be by your side. She enjoys playing tug-of-war, and will chase a ball but hasn’t mastered the return part of fetch. Amelia still gets daily zoomies and enjoys lying in the sun.

Atticus is a low-maintenance senior pup that enjoys eating and sleeping. This old guy enjoys going for very short walks, and can only go about 2 or 3 blocks before his hips start to hurt. Atticus does well on lead and is very friendly to all he meets. The owner does not take Atticus to the dog park, because he will play too much and will have difficulty walking later.  Atticus loves butt scratches and getting love.
