(Foster Found) Akela & Kamaka W.

Meet Akela & Kamaka two well-behaved social German Shepherds that need a foster while their owner is deployed overseas Jan. 10, 2025 – Jan 10, 2026.  The owner is deploying on the 10th and the dogs will be staying at a temporary care home and the owner is willing to pay for transportation. This bonded pair would prefer to be fostered together.

Akela & Kamaka are both house, leash, and crate-trained and good with people, children, dogs, and cats. They have lived with other dogs and cats. No destructive tendencies.

Akela is a lover, she is very affectionate and loves cuddling, pets, and giving kisses. Total cuddle bug who just wants to be by your side.  Akela has a pleasant personality and is well-behaved and gentle.  Akela enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war.

Kamaka has a regal spirit who is more independent, but still affectionate and loving. Kamaka loves playing tug-of-war and going to the dog park. He is friendly with other dogs but does not like getting humped. Kamaka likes getting attention and belly rubs.

Both dogs love going for walks and to the dog park and playing with other dogs. They both do well on a leash and are always excited and friendly to meet people and other dogs along the way. They may pull and bark a little because they are impatient and want to meet other dogs.  They are easily corrected to calm down and not to pull.

Both dogs are medium/low energy. They enjoy their activities but then become couch potatoes afterward.

Akela & Kamaka would be a great addition to any foster home that has the time to give them the love and attention they need.
