Meet Achilles! This mighty pup needs a place to rest his paws while his owner is deployed with the Navy from September 15^th, 2023 until March 30^th 2024. He is currently in a boarding kennel but can be transported up to 6 hours by a family member from the Northfield, Minnesota, area.

Achilles is a gentle giant with endless affection for human companions big and small! Once he’s gotten used to being around you, he’ll stick to you like glue. At 80+ pounds, he is one of the biggest lap dogs you’ll ever meet and enjoys a nice cuddle. Achilles loves playing in the yard and taking daily walks. If you happen to live by the ocean, this pup will have a blast running through the waves. He will give soft kisses for some treats and understands sit, shake, heel, and down.

Achilles will do best as the only pet in the home as he may not get along with other dogs and cats. He rarely barks and is used to living in an apartment or a home without a yard but would love frequent trips to fenced-in areas for some play time!
