Michael and Brittany are a US Navy family who are currently in the process of changing stations out of state.  The family’s new home won’t be ready for them until 3/31/2021, so Michael is going on ahead and living on base until the rest of the family can join him.  With their current housing contract ending on 2/8/2021, Brittany and the kids are staying with relatives, who unfortunately can’t take Mila, the family’s sweet dog, in as well!  We’re looking for a great foster around Houston, TX, to keep Mila safe and loved for the next two months!

Mila is a 5 year old, 40 lbs, spayed female Labrador mix.  Mila is up to date on her vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.  Mila takes one pill orally every morning.  Mila is crate trained, working on her leash manners, and knows commands for sit.  Mila experiences mild separation anxiety, and should be crated if a foster will be leaving her home alone.  Mila gets along well with medium to large sized dogs, and kids 6+.  Michael says, “She loves to snuggle during the day and feels safe under our bed, which is where she sleeps most nights. She will sometimes join in a song with some howling if she feels so compelled.”
