Tyre is a 7-year-old American Terrier/Pitbull mix (75 lbs) with a calm, steady personality who needs a safe, loving foster home while his guardian is away. This sweet guy is low-to-medium energy — happy to go for walks, play in the yard, and then settle in for some downtime with his people.
💖 Why You’ll Love Tyre
Tyre is perfectly house-trained and trustworthy when left alone — no crate required. He’s affectionate, great with children, and loves being around people. While he’s not a match for other pets (he prefers to be the only animal in the home), he’ll make a loyal and loving companion for his foster family.
Energy Level: Low–medium. Enjoys walks, play, and quiet time at home.
Social Skills:
Loves all people and is wonderful with children.
Needs to be the only pet — no cats or other dogs.
Training & Behavior:
Fully house-trained with no accidents.
Does not need to be crated when left alone.
Walks well on leash, but may pull if he spots a squirrel.
Hates motorcycles and will react when they drive by.
Health & Care:
Gets a Cytopoint injection every few months for allergies.
Experiences some anxiety in the car and takes a medication to help with travel.

Tyre will thrive in a calm, pet-free home where he can enjoy his daily walks, relax indoors, and get plenty of love and attention from his humans. He’s happiest when he’s part of family life — especially with kids to love on.
