URGENT – NEW FOSTER NEEDED. Gem is a Gem of a pup. Currently being kennelled.  Gem needs a place to crash while her owner is deployed with the Coast Guard Nov. 9, 2023  -June 15, 2024.  Gem is located in Seattle, WA area, the owner would prefer to stay within that area or along the West Coast, including WA, OR, CA, MT,ID, NV, UT, or AZ.

Gem just spent 6 weeks at a board and train and is now looking for a new foster.  While Gem gets along well with other dogs outside of the home, Gem is protective of toys, crates, and food so we are looking for a foster that doesn’t have any other pets.

Gem is a well-trained high/medium social pup, who loves to play and have fun. Gem, enjoys going to the dog park, long walks, bike rides, and anything to do with water; lakes, ponds, and streams.  Even at 3 years old Gem has a young mindset and just has a loving attitude and gets along with all, but is untested with cats.

Having lived in an apartment, Gem is used to going to the dog park on a regular basis to play with her friends. On walks, Gem is curious about approaching people, and dogs but mostly ignores them.

Gem is house, leash, and crate trained. At home, Gem is a loving pup who likes attention and cuddling, but respects will respect your space. Gem enjoys her crate, and it is her solitude and safe space and she often enjoys hanging out in it with the door open.

Gem is very protective of her people, and her belongings around other pets. Preferred household, Gem would be the only pet.
