Buck is a chill, low-energy pup who enjoys the simple things in life: a cozy spot on the floor, a squeaky toy, and your love when you walk through the door. His person describes him as a “gentle, independent cuddlebug” who knows how to balance affection with quiet time. If you’ve had a long day and just want to relax — Buck will be right there with you. Buck’s owner is already deployed, and is looking for a temporary foster home until January 15, 2027. He is currently in San Antonio, TX and can be transported up to 6 hours to the right loving foster family.
He’s fully house-trained and has never had an accident indoors. Buck does well alone when you’re out — he’ll snooze or entertain himself until you return. He’s never been crated and has no destructive behaviors, making him an easy, reliable housemate.
Buck is leash-trained and enjoys walks, though he can tug when he sees something exciting — like a squirrel, cat, or bicycle. With calm and consistent guidance, he’s happy to keep pace by your side.
