Nikolai is such a calm, proper pet, if you didn’t see his long legs and beautiful face, you would think he’s a cat. His owner is a Petty Officer, First Class, in the Navy who is being transferred to Japan for 2 years, and while Nikolai was prepped to go to Japan with his family, he is too tall for the airlines kennels! Emily and her family have had Nikolai since he was a puppy, and desperately did not want to lose him, but the friend who was going to foster him had a family emergency and could not help. Emily contacted PACT for Animals, and PACT Foster Family Michelle, who was happy to add the regal pup to her happy home. Nikolai flew from San Diego, CA, to his foster family in Reno, NV, where Michelle picked him up at the airport and brought him home. There Nikolai met Michelle’s two adorable little dogs, a chi-weenie and a tiny terrier mix. Despite their difference in height, Nikolai and Michelle’s pups have a lot in common and they were soon great friends. Now Nikolai has a safe, happy home to stay at and Emily can rest easy knowing her furry family will be waiting for her on her return.

Sweet Nikolai is back in his mom Emily’s arms! Thank you Michelle for the wonderful care you took of him, and thank you for Emily for your service!
