Jackie and her husband are members of the US Navy, and are preparing for an overseas assignment which will take them away from their Chesapeake, VA, home from 11/23/2020 – 11/23/2022.  The family is having trouble making arrangements for their Boxer, Maverick, to travel with them, and are looking for a foster home to care for him stateside in the case that he won’t be able to fly with them.

Maverick is a 3 year old, 70 lbs, neutered male Boxer.  Maverick is microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention.  Maverick is friendly and has lived with dogs, cats, and kids 6+.  He can be a little dominant with other dogs, so he would do best in a home with other easy-going canine companions.  Maverick walks well on leash and knows commands for sit, stay, leave it, come, off/down, and get in your spot.  Jackie says, “He loves to cuddle and let you know he is there for you. The perfect foster home would be someone who loves dogs, who’s willing to take time to play with Maverick, take him for walks, let him run around outside in a fenced area and just show him love as if he was their own.”
