Jason, a four-year-old pitbull, was raised by Ronald to be the most loving and friendly dog you may ever meet. Great with dogs, kids, and cats, Jason enjoys running at your side or sitting on the couch, as long as he can do it with you. Unfortunately, Jason’s dad Ronald was deployed to Bahrain for a year and he found out four days before he left that, due to breed-specific-legislation in that country, his best friend cannot go with him. On top of that, all of Ronald’s family (except his dog) lives in the Philippines and were seriously affected by Typhoon Haiyan, so they could not offer Jason a home. Ronald contacted PACT because he knew the terrible fate that often befalls even the best pitbulls at area shelters, and he desperately wanted to see his best friend when he came home. PACT found Jason a perfect foster home within two days of his application, and Zipcar generously donated the use of a car to make the placement happen. Jason quickly settled in with his foster family, and a year later was ecstatically welcoming Ronald home. Thank you to Ronald for your service to our country, and thank you to the Miller family for keeping Jason safe.
