UPDATE: Frankie is safe!
Frankie’s mom and dad are both members of the US Air Force: Dad is on deployment/training, and mom recently found out she is pregnant! Unfortunately, there are some medical complications with the pregnancy, and Eryn will need specialized treatment for the next few months. Eryn and her husband are looking for a special foster for Frankie for the next 18 months. Her term would be 7/21/2018 – 2/15/2020.
Frankie is a 1 year old, 35lbs Terrier mix. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, and heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Frankie is a high energy girl and will require a lot of exercise – she enjoys going to the doggie daycare 3-4 times a week, and is doing very well with her leash training. Frankie understands commands/hand signals for sit. Frankie does have separation anxiety, and does not do well in crate. She has injured herself before trying to escape the crate. She has not done significant damage to home decor when left alone in the home. Frankie gets along with larger, calm dogs, and can play a bit rough. She should definitely be monitored when interacting with other pups. Frankie does best with older, calm kids.
Frankie is a truly loving dog to her people, and gets so excited when her family comes home. While she does have the separation anxiety, the love that she exhibits to people more than make up for the extra work, in her family’s eyes. If you can help Frankie stay with her parents and her new baby sibling, please let us know.
