Stephon is a US Marine preparing for a 6 month overseas assignment starting ASAP – 5/1/2021.  His wife and their two babies will be caring for her elderly mother while Stephon is away, and unfortunately can’t bring their sweet puppy, Duke, with them.  PACT is hoping to find a great foster with puppy experience to give Duke a well-structured home during Stephon’s assignment.

Duke is a 6 month old, 30 lbs (and growing!), male German Shepherd/Husky mix.  Duke will be neutered shortly after entering his foster home, and will need a foster who is capable of picking him up from the vet and checking his wound daily to ensure correct healing.  Duke is housebroken and knows commands for sit.  He has not been crate trained yet, but he’s still young and PACT would highly encourage the use of a crate with this energetic little guy.  Duke loves to go for walks, runs, and hikes.  He will need an active foster to keep him well exercised and entertained.  If you are looking for an adorable work out buddy with a lot of potential, Duke may be your guy!  Stephon says that Duke is an excellent, cuddly companion that does so well with his 2 and 1 year old children.
