Paul and Lily are going through a family medical crisis and desperately need help caring for their dog, Kota, during a difficult period in their lives.  Lilly only six weeks ago gave birth to their newest child, and is now beginning surgery and treatment for breast cancer.  Paul is away for part of each month for work, and the couple’s family and friends have been helping to care for their children, but with so many people coming in and out of the house, Kota has become pretty stressed out.  PACT is looking for a great foster family for Kota while his family focuses on Lily’s health.

Kota is a 7 year old 65lbs neutered male shepherd mix.  Kota likes the company of kids and cats, but would prefer to be the only dog in your household.  Kota is smart, and eager to please.  He walks well on leash, is crate trained, and knows commands for sit, lie down, back up, search (will search out hidden stuffed animals,) heel, roll over, and okay (to begin eating.)  Kota would do best in a home with a couple with a fenced in yard who are active and enjoy taking walks, running, hiking, etc. to keep him well exercised and entertained.
