Alyssa is a young member of the National Guard who will be sent overseas for an 8 month deployment beginning in mid-July.  Alyssa has no family or friends who are able to look after her sweet dog, Boomer.  Boomer is currently in Baltimore, MD, and will need foster care from July 2018 through February 2019.

Boomer is a 5 year old, 50lbs, neutered Doberman mix.  He’s one of the cutest dogs you’ll ever meet.  Boomer loves to cuddle with his person, loves to go for walks, go to the dog park, and is obsessed with other dogs.  Boomer does bark when he sees another dog, but it’s just excitement.  Boomer does best with patient female dogs, but has lived with other dogs, cats, and children.  He’s afraid of thunderstorms.  Boomer is crate trained and working on his leash manners, and he responds to commands for sit, paw, and lay down.
