Mele & Hirsch need a home in Mississippi or beyond!
William is a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force and has orders to go to Turkey for a year. He rescued his dogs Mele and Hirsch together about four years ago, and he is heartbroken that he will have to leave them.
Mele and Hirsch are inseparable and must be fostered together because she is her younger brother’s security blanket. Mele is questionable with other dogs besides her brother, so William prefers they go to a home with no other animals.
Mele loves all people, including children. She is incredibly tolerant with William’s very young nieces. Hirsch is very timid when first meeting anyone, and feels most at ease in quiet environments, but that being said, he will just avoid a situation if he is uncomfortable. He just needs someone to go slowly with him, and then he’ll warm up to them. Hirsch feels safe and more confident when he’s with Mele.
Mele and Hirsch are both well-trained and pretty low maintenance pups. Please consider fostering them for the next year, so they can reunited with William when he returns from his deployment.
